Trigeminal herpes zoster with Ramsay Hunt syndrome: a report of one case and review of literature

Abstract: Trigeminal herpes zoster is a common disease in clinic. However, Ramsay Hunt syndrome with facial paralysis, earache and external auditory meatus herpes triad caused by herpes virus invading knee ganglion is rare. This paper reported a case of trigeminal herpes zoster complicated with Ramsay Hunt syndrome and reviewed the literature in order to further understand the nervous system infection caused by herpes zoster virus.
